So yes, I have been MIA for awhile now. I always thought I would have more time now that the kids are more independent. Ha! Who was I fooling? With school, church, chores and sports, sitting down to type has been pushed way back on my "To do list."
But church activities like Awana are over for the year, our school year is wrapped up and baseball and softball are nearing tournaments, so what do you know! I have a little time to sit and type!
Let's catch up shall we?
Minnie (me) is a rising 6th grader! Y'all. When did that happen? I feel like I brought her home for the first time and now she is talking about all the fun things she will be doing in youth group. And then there's Super boy who is a rising 5th grader! Say what now!!!!!!! They are both excited about entering new grades and I am proud of all they have accomplished, so I guess I can overlook the emotions that come with this season of life. Or try to anyway.
This year, we went to some new places for our field trips! One was to a local art museum. At first was unsure what the kids would think, only because last year we went to one and even though they liked it, they thought is was a little boring. -sigh-
But I wanted to try another one and they were loving it! Not sure if it was because we went with a group of friends from our Co-op, the lady that gave the tour or the face that they had more art work and was bigger in general. Whatever the reason may be, this mama was so glad they enjoyed it!

After the tour of the museum, we went to a near by market for lunch and then headed next door to a really cute library! The kids love it there because they have a lot of books and also some fun things to do there as well. It was a great day all around!
